About Me

Andrew Leggett is an author and editor of poetry, fiction, interdisciplinary academic papers and songs. His latest collection of poetry Losing Touch was published by Ginninderra Press in 2022.
He is an Associate Professor with the James Cook University College of Medicine and Dentistry, where he has been contributing to education and research in psychiatry and psychotherapy for four years.
Previously he held positions at the University of Queensland (where he served as Honorary Senior Lecturer from 2000), Griffith University, and the University of Newcastle. His work weaves together the rigour of academic inquiry and the sensitivity of literary expression.
